On the 8^th of January (Friday) the little patients of VUVL Oncohematology Division continued to enjoy the spirit of Christmas. Children received gifts that were delivered to Lithuania by Swedish Elves before Christmas, as well as the gifts from the students of Vilnius Rytas secondary school.

The Elves of Rugutė spent ten days on the snowy roads and paths, trying to reach the towns, villages and homes where the children of Rugutė live. It took ten days to collect a bunch of warm children’s smiles, each of them implying that the most anticipated Christmas Miracle had come true.

It is so good to know that Rugutė is making more and more friends. We are informed that on the 16^th of January, 2010, an oriental dance studio Orientalija will be organizing a dance concert, where all the participants will be invited to share their goodness with children who have oncological diseases.

This Christmas brought us wonderful news – the General Meeting of NATO Wives Bazaar decided to donate to the project of Rugutė‘s Home.

The bright Luknė’s star has appeared in the cold skies of December. It will gleam forever for her loved ones, whose days are now filled with longing... Take rest, our little Fighter. We are lighting the brightest candles for you tonight.

The Bridge of Friendship Sweden-Lithuania
The bridge of friendship between Sweden and Lithuania continues to be build. On December 11-13 we were most happy to receive the special guests – Swedish elves.

We received a special gift before Christmas and once again realized that a circle of Rugutė’s friends is growing larger not only in Lithuania, but also abroad. The spirit of goodness and Christmas anticipation, spread in Rotterdam by Lithuanian community in the Netherlands, has reached the hearts of sick children in Lithuania.

Last week Rugutė received a package full of kindness and affection, mailed with lots of love and care by students of Vilnius Mikalojus Daukša high-school. The package was full of holiday greeting cards, colored in most beautiful colors and emanating incredible warmth.
