At the time completely unfurnished Rugutė’s Home now meets its guests by enveloping them in its special comfort and warmth.

Childhood Cancer Fund Rugutė invites parents who lost their child to participate in regular meetings of the self-relief group, in which parents share their feelings, sufferings, and together try to find ways how to relieve the pain of their loss.

Ride for Rugute 2015 Invitation

With great excitement we are eager to announce: on May 28-30, 2015 we will have the traditional Ride for Rugutė 2015 events.

The participants of Ride for Rugutė 2011 and Ride for Rugutė 2012 managed several hundred kilometers and visited Fund Rugutė’s children living in various parts of Lithuania. The route required prior preparation and great physical shape. In 2013 a shorter and more manageable route from Vilnius to Trakai was selected. In 2014 after successfully repeating the same Vilnius-Trakai 45 km. route it became the traditional Ride for Rugutė route.

International Cuisine Fair for the third year in a row will kick-off the events for this year’s ride. The fair will take place near business centers Green Hall (Upės street 21) and Gama (Balčikonio street 7) on May 28, 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Rugutė Fund representatives will participate at both locations. This event will feature team spirit, good mood, music and tables full with great meals and drinks. The money collected during the fair will be dedicated to support Rugutė’s activities. We invite everyone who would like to try dishes from different countries to come to the fair!

On May 30 at 10 a.m. the participants of Ride for Rugutė 2015 will start the ride from the business center Green Hall (Upės street 21) and will ride from Vilnius to Trakai (about 45 km.). The finish will be at the recreation and business center Kempingas Slėnyje (Slėnio street 1, Trakai). The route surface is various: from city streets to forest paths; and the participants will be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.

Additional information:

The participants will be able to choose one of three (Sports/Fitness/Relax) rider groups based on their desired riding pace.

There will be guides trained to lead the way.

There will be a couple of rest stops for rest and refreshments.

There will be a van following the riders to ensure their safety.

The riders will not have to carry their personal belongings with them as their items will be safely delivered to the finish line for them.

There will be an opportunity to rent a bicycle for those wishing to participate who do not have one.

On May 30 at 5 p.m the organizers of the Ride for Rugutė 2015 invite everyone to spend some time together at the recreation and business center Kempingas slėnyje (Slėnio street 1, Trakai)

We invite children who had and/or still have cancer and their family members to participate in this traditional event-to test your strength pedaling from Vilnius to Trakai and to spend some quality time with people who are not indifferent to sick children.

We invite all bicycle sport enthusiasts who are familiar with the idea of giving to participate in these ride events.
