The Bridge of Friendship Sweden-Lithuania continues

Childhood Cancer Fund Rugutė is happy that The Bridge of Friendship Sweden-Lithuania continues. Mr. Bengt Nilsson, who had sent a mini-bus full of Christmas gifts for sick children of Lithuania, arrived to Lithuania on the 7^th of August together with his family, policeman and pediatrician.

 

Visiting the Oncohematology Department of Children‘s Hospital of Vilnius University, our guests got acquainted with the hospital itself, visited the sick children and discussed the future perspectives of cooperation with the doctors.

 

Mr. Bengt Nilsson also visited Rugutė's Home, learned about this project and offered ideas of participating in further development of the project. The logistics of Lithuanian children’s participation in The Feast of Joy in Sweden on the 28^th of the upcoming September were discussed as well.

 

We thank Mr. Bengt Nilsson for this visit, for his sincere interest in our sick children, for his hand he once-again offered, for his kindness and friendship that is growing stronger and stronger.

 

We thank Ms. Jonė Šeštakauskaitė for mediation between us and our friends from Sweden.
