Invitation to Make Friends with Japanese Children

Dear children,

 

We are inviting all of you, who want to make friends with sick children in the far-away Land of the Rising Sun (Japan), to write them a letter. You may send your letters to Edita before the 15^th of December so she can mail them to Lithuanian embassy in Japan.

 

Lina, who loves you very much, and who is currently working in Japan, will deliver your letters to children at the National Cancer Center. It would be best to write in English. Perhaps not all the children have learned English, so we ask their parents to help. If the parents don’t speak English, you can write letters in Lithuanian and we promise to translate them. Do write (don’t forget to indicate your age) and wait for responses from the far-away land.

 

By the way, Japan celebrates the New Year on the 1^st of January, just like Lithuania, so it would be very nice if you could draw a greeting card and write lots of New Year greetings in it.
