CHARITY ACTION FOR ONE-YEAR-OLD BABY GIRL LIEPA

Liepa was only 9 months old when she was diagnosed with the 4^th stage of cancer (mediastinal neuroblastoma). The diagnosis was made after looking for the reason of the long lasting fever. The 4 cm tumour was removed immediately. After the diagnostic examination it was confirmed that cancer had already spread into the infant’s bones and medulla. Doctors started the chemotherapy treatment. After 4 courses of the applied treatment it was found that the chemotherapy had no positive effect at all. The scheme of the chemotherapy was changed after the distance consultation with the doctors of the Timone hospital in France.

We have faced the Uncertainty…

Children Cancer Fund RUGUTE takes care of Liepa and her parents and flies them to the Timone hospital in Marseilles, France, where the experienced doctors of children neuroblastoma will give a very detailed examination of Liepa’s condition and render a precise further treatment suggestion. It is already scheduled that Liepa will arrive in France on September the 8^th. We kindly ask you to give your helping hand to the little Liepa. Only standing together can we be sure that we will not surrender in Liepa‘s fight against cancer. We will fight and – we certainly believe! – we will win. Let us share this Hope together. The flight tickets, first consultation and examination will cost app. EUR 3,200. One day at the hospital in Marseilles costs EUR 765. We do not know how many days Liepa will have to stay at the hospital this time.
